& CURRICULUM VITAE
I am Jimenez Velado, a visual and conceptual artist with roots in Mexico, El Salvador, and Nicaragua. My artistic practice investigates the intersection of material human existence, spirituality, and technology. Through analog and digital techniques, visionary thought, and science fiction aesthetics, I project and transmit imaginary models of metaphysical realities into contemporary imagery.
I understand spirituality and technology as interconnected existential experiences that share a common origin. They allow us to explore expanded realities and possibilities within a diversity of conceptual universes, questioning and highlighting the primary characteristics—whether positive, neutral, or negative—of our conventional reality on this planet.
My work unfolds as a bridge between tangible experience and metaphysical speculation. From my context, I construct visual narratives and universes that function as mirrors to our own human and existential inquiries.
